3. What kind of media institution would distribute your film and why?

A media institution is a company that owns large numbers of companies in various mass media such as television, radio, publishing, movies, and the Internet. They are therefore accountable for the media.

Examples of this include:

Out of these, the BBC would distribute my film as they have television channels that are dedicated to our demographic. The BBC have the channel: CBBC which is aimed at a younger audience, perhaps in the teenage demographic of which are going through their academic years at secondary school. In addition to this, the film can be easily distributed on the BBC's multi media platforms such as BBC iPlayer.

Upon research, we can see that the BBC covers a large proportion of the Average Daily reach of all television channels. This could be good for my film as it is likely to be seen by a large number of people. Despite being aimed at people aged 14-18, that doesn't mean that others cannot enjoy it on, perhaps, BBC 1 if the film is a success.
