The audience for my film is intended to be teenagers within the age of 14-18. As every single character on screen in our product is female, it is likely to appeal to not only men but due to the way a female is the main protagonist: it is likely to appeal to females too. Our product is aimed at those in the upper lower and lower middle classes. The location for our film is in a secondary school, if we were aiming for the higher class of audience then we would have set our film within a grammar or private school. It would appear as if we could be able to appeal to more people and put more experience into our film if we chose a secondary school.
I asked 3 members of the target audience what they thought of our media product. These were the responses:
"Uses great range shots. Yeah, it was just captivating."
"Good. Aesthetically pleasing."
"Yeah, it fits in with things I see in school."
As you can see, we have done a good job at appealing to those in our audience. I think that some young adults may also enjoy our product as it may reflect some issues they recently left behind when they were younger. A limiting factor in this short questionnaire is the fact that we only asked 3 people and we will only be able to get a grasp of what effect this film has from a wider audience.

On the left is the analytics for the demographic of those who have watched our film on Youtube. We can see that our film has done a good job at attracting viewers between the ages on 13-17 as 70% of the total audience was of these ages. Also we can see that the second most popular age group was 18-24. I could claim that some of this audience were 18 and that it fits into our TA but unfortunately there is no way to tell the proportion of each age individually.
In addition to this, it is not only males but also females who are watching this film but we can see that it is leant towards the male gender.

The mis-en-scene is indicative of that of a secondary school which appeals to students as it is a relatable environment that they will recognise. Overall, three different classrooms were chosen to be in the film. Each representing core subjects: Science (see left), English and Maths. At some point every student in the country will have had to study these subjects which ensures the relatability of the setting.
Each actor represents different social groups as they are all differently dressed. This addresses different tastes and is more likely to appeal to most girls if they see one taste that is somewhat similar to theirs. However, there is a lack of male representation but I believe that it would be harder to appeal to males by using females than the inverse.

The opening scene shows a shot of the exterior of the school to show, right from the start, where the film takes place. The fact that the name of the school is clearly spelled out on the side of the building is a clear indicator and the clearest indicator available, if the interior of the school wasn't made obvious enough. This ensures that the audience knows that they can immediately relate to the film within the first few seconds.
